Brand partner review / Product development

“They thought about the brand before they thought about production.”

Coupe Coupe did more than provide product development and manufacturing. Their team became involved while our collection was still taking shape—questioning details we had overlooked and turning our design intent into decisions that could actually be produced.

They helped us solve fit, material and construction risks at the source, then continued thinking ahead through order planning and inventory-risk control. At every stage, the question was not only “Can this be made?” but “Does this make sense for the brand?”

IN HER WORDS
“COUPE COUPE isn’t a manufacturer that simply waits for our order and then starts production. They get involved in the decisions behind the product.”

They work with us through the process — reviewing materials, construction, production feasibility, cost and potential risk. What matters most is that they don’t hesitate to question a decision when they believe there is a better solution. Sometimes that means reducing unnecessary cost. Sometimes it means improving construction or quality. And sometimes it means giving us very constructive design advice before we commit the product to production.

More than order execution.

Beyond Manufacturing

“They don’t just help us manufacture what we designed. They help us make the product better before production begins. ”

Startup FAQ
COUPE COUPE / FOR STARTUPS

Before your first production run. Get the important questions answered.

Starting a fashion brand means making important decisions before you have much historical sales data. We help emerging brands understand the manufacturing, coût, quality and inventory implications before committing to bulk production.

Have a question about your product, MOQ, sampling or first production plan? Tell us what stage your brand is currently at.

We support lower-MOQ production for emerging brands, but the practical MOQ depends on fabric availability, construction complexity, color quantity, trims and finishing. Our goal is not simply to quote the smallest possible number. We help determine a quantity that allows you to test real market demand without creating unnecessary inventory pressure or making the unit cost commercially unrealistic.
Oui. This is one of the areas where we work differently with startup brands. We can review silhouette, confection de vêtements, fabrics, garnitures, sizing and production feasibility before sampling. If we believe a design detail will create unnecessary cost, quality instability or production difficulty, we will raise it and suggest a more practical alternative rather than simply manufacturing exactly what was submitted.
Cost control starts before bulk production. We review material choices, garment structure, garnitures, processes and order planning to identify areas where cost can be reduced without damaging the intended product positioning. For startup brands, avoiding one unnecessary process, unsuitable fabric or poorly planned first order can be more valuable than negotiating a slightly lower factory price.
Sampling is a development process, not simply a pass-or-fail inspection. We review fit, measurements, construction, fabric behavior and finishing, then identify what needs to change before the next sample or bulk production. The purpose is to solve technical problems while they are still inexpensive to correct, rather than discovering them after hundreds of garments have already been produced.
We encourage startup brands to build production around actual launch stages rather than optimistic forecasts. That can mean smaller first runs, fewer initial colorways, concentrating volume on stronger styles and planning replenishment after real sales data appears. The objective is to protect cash flow and help you learn from the market before carrying unnecessary stock.
Oui. Low MOQ is intended to reduce the risk of the first decision, not to keep your brand permanently at small volume. Once a style demonstrates real demand, we can plan repeat production around fabric availability, lead time and previous manufacturing data. The earlier production history also helps make subsequent runs more predictable and easier to scale.
Product files, specifications, artwork and brand information are treated as confidential project information. If your project requires additional protection, confidentiality requirements can be discussed before detailed development materials are exchanged. We understand that for an emerging brand, design ownership and supplier confidentiality are commercial assets, not administrative details.
You do not need a completely finished tech pack to begin the conversation. Send whatever you currently have — sketches, reference images, existing samples, fabric preferences, target quantity, target market and expected launch timing. We can first determine what is already production-ready, what still needs development and what decisions should be solved before sampling.
